Coconut oil- properties and meaning in the man’s diet
Abstract:
The coconut oil is a fat that arises many extreme emotions among consumers. Its supporters named the oil as "the healthiest of fats", whereas the opponents explain the reluctance to eat this product because of the high content of saturated fatty acids. What is more, among dietitians it is also possible to meet different opinions connected with fat of the coconut. It is beyond doubt that recently coconut oil gains more popularity as well as more often it can be heard about its pro-health properties. This publication presents the influence of eating the coconut oil on the human organism, its metabolism and basic physicochemical properties.

Z chemicznego punktu widzenia tłuszcze (w tym olej kokosowy) są mieszaniną glicerolu oraz estrów wyższych kwasów tłuszczowych.
